This Costco organic food list includes the best foods to buy at Costco. Don’t forget to add them to your Costco shopping list to eat healthily and save money on groceries, too!
E ach year during No Spend Month I do an assessment of our spending and ask myself, is this $55 Costco Membership really worth it? So far, each year I discover that yes it is easily worth the cost for all of the money I save on groceries.
The trick is to shop with a list and make sure I only buy the healthy real foods that are on it. Otherwise, it is very easy to come out with a bunch of junk, both food and other items, that we don’t need.
Surprisingly though, it isn’t all giant boxes of frozen taquitos and 6-pound bags of Frosted Flakes. There are actually quite a few organic foods available at Costco.
Sick of couponing, shopping sales, and meal planning only to find you’re still busting your grocery budget? This is the simple system my family used to cut our grocery budget in half.)

Great list! My husband does a shop with the Doc at Costco monthly, everyone loves it! We never show the sugar lol!
I wish our Costco had more fresh organic fruits and vegetables like yours. I do like getting coffee, soymilk, and Better than Bouillon chicken base.
Me too. It was hard to find the organic products. There should be a map.
Where is your Costco located? I have not seen most of those Organic items in our stores here in Los Angeles.
We are in Washington. It seems like every area has different items available. I do have to make sure to keep looking for organic options because sometimes they don’t stick out and there seem to be new ones all the time. We just started getting the chicken thighs at our store.
Ours sells GTs Kombucha an has organic frozen mango! I haven’t seen the organic produce so much.
Yes, the one in Kirkland and Woodinville Washington has a great selection or organics!!! ♡
We live in lynnwood wa and see all this and o think there are even more canned goods organic.
The Costco on Washington blvd Culver city, has tons of organic produce.
My Costco here in Escondido has all those organic items and much more!
In what state is your Costco located? I live in Los Angeles and I have not seen most of those items in our stores.
Request more organics in the comment box in your store. Costco really listens to what their customers want!
I have heard that before that Costco really does pay attention to those comments. Great idea!!
The Torrance warehouse in the South Bay Area of Southern CA (south of Los Angeles proper) carries every organic product Costco carries anywhere.
I also buy organic frozen broccoli, organic diced tomatoes, and organic stewed tomatoes.
I would love to be able to get frozen broccoli here! It’s so convenient on busy nights when you still want to get something healthy on the table!
Every Costco is different, even within a state. But luckily I live where you live and enjoy many of those organic things from Costco. I especially like in the summer when they have organic peaches!
Every store is different, even within a state. Luckily I live where you live and enjoy many of those organic products from Costco. My favorite is when they have organic peaches in the summer!
I get boxes of Annies Organic bunny fruit snacks. I run an in home daycare & the kids love them. I try not to have too much processed stuff, but they work great for a quick snack.
I found a list with detailed products that are organic at Costco.

One item that I just purchased yesterday were some organic dried figs!
This makes me wish even more that we had a costco in the area! Thanks for sharing the list…maybe some day we’ll get a Costco here! :)
Doesn’t this differ depending on WHICH costco you’re shopping from? I’ve found different states I’ve lived in have offered different amounts of organic food. But.. maybe that’s changed.
This is awesome! I go sometimes with my MIL and usually come out with a ridiculously large bag of raw almonds – this is great to know I can keep an eye out for other stuff, too!
Love this! I’ve never had a membership, but knowing there are organic foods at Costco makes me want one!
I wish we lived closer to a Costco. When we make it there, I usually get organic ground beef and whole chickens. They also have organic carrots, but pretty much everything else in conventional at the closest one to us.
I didn’t know Costco carried organic pastured butter!! Which one do you shop at? I’ll have to see if the Woodinville one carries it…
oh, I should also add that Organic Edamame is DA BOMB DOT COM at Costco!! Love it!
As others noted, availability depends widely on the individual store. There are two Costco stores in Indianapolis. One has much more organic and gluten-free options than the other. Unfortunately, the one closest to me carries less. I just ask and write suggestions for the comment box as often as possible. Organic raisins please!!!
Carrot juice. I can’t find it anywhere else. Imagine that living right here where it is made.
Canned tomato sauce is from Costco is really good!!! To be even more organic you should test out making your own tomato sauce. It really isn’t that difficult at all. My hubby loves it :)
I get: frozen mixed veggies, udon noodles, flour, hotdogs, and frozen broccoli that are all organic. Stores definitely vary in what they carry. Southlake, TX store carries many more organic items then the Rockwall, TX store and they are only 1 hour away from each other.
i love the high fiber pasta a friend says its beet
Here in Albuquerque, NM we have gotten organic tomato paste, frozen broccoli, frozen corn, frozen green beans, frozen blueberries, fresh blueberries, frozen strawberries, fresh strawberries, fresh zucchini/yellow squash, sweet potatoes, kale, power greens, spring mix, spinach, apples, frozen peaches, frozen berry mix, tortilla chips, hummus, salsa, whole chicken, chicken breast, chicken thighs, chicken legs, ground beef, brown eggs.
I’m sure there is even more. :)
Great list! Thank you for sharing!
Ask for what you want. If enough people do it might end up in yours
I wish they would carry organic potatoes and organic fresh tomatoes. Some of the most contaminated foods if you don’t buy them organically.
Everything on your list PLUS
Ground Turkey
Canned Diced Tomatoes
Classico Pasta Sauce – yes organic!
Individual sized guacamole
Canned black beans
Earth Bounty Tossed Salad Greens
We have an executive membership which cost $110, but you get a 2% return on all purchases at the end of the year. We just renewed with our return check and the total out of pocket for our renewal was $8.00, last year we actually made a couple bucks, making our membership essentially free or at least super cheap! This may not be a great option if you don’t spend a lot of money at Costco but if you do, it’s worth it!
I live in the uk , so i don’t know if all the items on this list are available here. Are all the organic products labelled. ‘ ORGANIC. ‘
I buy organic fresh carrots, organic tinned tomato puree and organic cartons of chicken stock plus organic coconut oil, from the Sheffield store .
Costco is a great resource and this list is way to short! Our Costco (Sequim, WA) has fresh organic veggies in season. Organic onions, squash, apples, and more. The cold room is about 50% organic. The back row freezer case is almost all organic fruits and veggies. So many choices that all you really need to do is read the store tags and product labels to see what you are really buying. You do need to pay attention because sometimes it may be USDA Organic but it doesn’t mean you want to eat it. Next time you are in Costco look around you will be surprised by how much organic and Non-GMO is on the shelf. Costoco/Kirkland has been buying organic farmland and helping farmers switch to organic, so I think it’s just going to get better.
For Vegans and Vegetarians every where this is great news though we do support local agriculture every chance we get. We are fortunate to also have two great farm stores near us to fill the gap.
Our Richmond CA Costco has more organic products than I have ever seen at any other Costco. I love it!
There used to be an entire organic area until it got too big and they dispersed everything in it’s similar item area.
Recently, we even got organic maple syrup aged in bourbon casks!
Unfortunately, some items come and go very quickly.
I don’t know if they do this at all the Costco’s but they tend to move stuff around so it can be harder to find something you liked from previous visit. Maybe they want you to search around?
My Costco here in North Dallas has most of these (probably all, but there are some that I don’t look for). In addition, there is organic broccoli, spring mix, chicken tenderloins, frozen mango and they had organic avocados for a few weeks and they are gone again.
I love that they make it easy (most of the time) to locate organics, by making the signs green.
